Olympiacos unveil Apostolopoulos signing

Olympiacos have confirmed the signing of young prospect Apostolos Apostolopoulos from Panserraikos.

The transfer was unveiled with this following statement:

“Olympiacos FC announces the signing of Apostolos Apostolopoulos from Panserraikos. The 17-year-old footballer (born on 11 December 2002) will join Olympiacos next season.”

Apostolopoulos, 17, plays on the left side of defence and is regarded as a major talent for the future. During the 2019/2020 campaign, the teenager competed in four Greek Cup matches against Orfeas Xanthi, Triglia and Volos NFC for Panserraikos, catching the eye of Olympiacos scouts who were impressed with his performances. 

It remains to be seen if Olympiacos decide to send the talented left-back out on loan for the 2020/2021 season. Apostolopoulos also drew interest from PAOK before Olympiacos made their move.
