Olympiacos win Super Cup
 

Olympiacos’ men’s water polo team defeats Vouliagmeni 11-5 to win the Greek Super Cup title.

This marked just the fifth Super Cup in history, with Olympiacos winning the last three (1997, 1998, and 2018). Vouliagmeni won the other one back in 1996. All of the previous finals featured both Olympiacos and Vouliagmeni, except for last year’s final (Olympiacos and ANO Glyfadas played in it).

Vouliagmeni got off to an ideal start, going up 0-1 just over a minute into the game. However, Olympiacos came back and found themselves ahead 3-1 after the first period. The Erythrolefki then extended this lead to 6-3 by halftime. Three unanswered goals in the third period saw Olympiacos take a commanding 9-3 lead. In the end, Olympiacos prevailed 11-5 to win their fourth Super Cup title.

Stefan Mitrovic led Olympiacos with four goals, while Alexandros Gounas added another three. On the other hand, 17-year-old Adonis Vlassis led Vouliagmeni with two goals.
