Panachaiki returned to winning ways with an emphatic 7-0 win over relegation-bound Apollon Pontou.

It was as comfortable as an afternoon can get for Panachaiki on Tuesday as they demolished bottom of the table Apollon Pontou 7-0 in the final fixture of matchday 20 in the Super League 2. The hosts got off to a flying start and were 3-0 ahead by the 20-minute mark with two goals from Mytidis (12, 19 - one from the penalty spot) and Kynigopoulos (15). Anakoglou added his name to the scoring sheet in the 29th minute to give the Patra side a 4-0 lead at the break.

Mavrias made it five goals for the hosts in the 62nd minute with his well-placed free-kick before Masouras added a sixth in the 61st minute with Panachaiki’s second spot-kick of the game. Tsotras formed the final scoreline ten minutes later to give Panachaiki an emphatic victory. 

The result moves Panachaiki into eighth place with 28 points just two points behind sixth-placed Apollon Larissa. Apollon Pontou have -3 points and sit bottom of the table and will play in the Football League next season.
