Luciano made his move to Panathinaikos official on Monday putting pen to paper to a 3.5 year contract with the Trifylli. The Brazilian striker will look to take charge of Panathinaikos’ attacking line and make up for the big loss of Marcus Berg who signed with UAE Club Al Ain earlier this month.

Luciano has played most of his career in Brazil while last season he played on loan from Corinthians at Spanish club Leganes. With Leganes, he made 25 appearances and scored four goals. He has also played with Brazil’s youth national teams registering six caps with five goals with the U23 side. He led Brazil to third place in the 2015 Pan-American games where he finished as the tournament’s leading scorer.

His career took a major setback in 2015, when he was left sidelined for six months due to an injury at a time when big European clubs were looking to make a move for the player, including Liverpool and Tottenham.

Cabezas will join Panathinaikos on a one year loan deal from Italian club Atalanta. The 20-year old winger began his career in Ecuador with Independiente del Valle where he made 68 appearances with four goals in his four year stay with the club. In 2016, he helped his team reach the final of the Copa Libertadores before making a move to Europe for Atalanta. He saw little playing time in Italy and made his debut in April of this year. Cabezas is also an international with Ecuador’s youth national teams and recently played in the U20 World Cup for his country.
