Panathinaikos are set to become the second Super League club to move away from Nova and start up their own television channel. Last year, PAOK launched a hugely successful project online, with their own website broadcasting all of their league matches via a pay-per-view or subscription system. Eager to follow in their footsteps, Panathinaikos are now preparing to unveil their television project which is reportedly due to begin in August.

PAO TV will broadcast all Panathinaikos home matches in the Super League in accordance with a pay-per-view and subscription format. Furthermore, if the latest reports are to be believed, the Athenians are on the verge of securing a deal with Cosmote which will see the telecommunications giant include PAO TV on its channel list.

All Panathinaikos friendlies, Super League home games, under 19 home matches and even events of the amateur sporting department (i.e. volleyball) will be shown on PAO TV. The project will create important added revenue for the Panathinaikos amateur organisation.

More details concerning PAO TV are due to be released in the coming weeks with the 2020/2021 season just around the corner. The Super League is scheduled to begin on September 12.
