Panegialios were mathematically relegated to the third division after tasting a 1:2 home defeat to Apollon Pontou. The team from Aigio took the lead in the first half, but a second half comeback from the visitors sealed Panegialios’ placed in the Gamma Ethniki. Panegialios sit on 24 points from 30 matches.

Kallithea will be joining Panegialios in the third division after they played to a disappointing 1:1 draw against Panserraikos in Serres. The result moves Kallithea on 24 points with Panegialios as they now turn their attention to Greece’s third tier. Panserraikos remain in a difficult position as they sit with 27 points, eight points behind safety with just four games remaining.

As of now, four teams have been relegated to the Gamma Ethniki including Acharnaikos, Veria, Panegialios, and Kallithea. A total of six teams will be relegated at the end of the season.

Ergotelis came close to adding an important three points in their fight to avoid the drop but a late goal denied them victory. The Cretan side played to a 2:2 draw in Sparti against the local side and the two teams sit tied with 40 points, just three points clear of the drop zone.

Aiginiakos currently hold the final relegation spot with 37 points after a 1:1 draw at home to AOX Kissamikos. Tied with Aiginiakos is Anagennisi Karditsas, who also drew over the weekend at home to Trikala in a game that ended goalless. In other action, Drama and AE Karaiskakis played 90 minutes of goalless football.

The league leaders, OFI, cruised past Apollon Larisas with a 4:0 scoreline in Irakleio. After a goalless first half, the hosts bombarded the visitors with four second half goals beginning with Vouho in the 47th minute. Manos joined the goal scoring action three minutes later before Vouho added his second of the night in the 64th minute. The goal of weekend was scored by the league’s leading scorer, Manos, who cleverly chipped the ball over the keeper in the 82nd minute to cap off another stellar OFI performance. The Cretans continue to lead the table with 74 points, just one point ahead of second placed Aris.

Aris and Panachaiki were awarded victories over Arachanikos and Veria, who have both withdrawn from the league.
