Misic was loaned out by Sporting Lisbon to PAOK after agreeing to a 1.5-year loan deal midway through PAOK’s championship-winning season last campaign. The 25-year-old is currently experiencing a career-best season, with both PAOK and Sporting Lisbon agreeing to make Misic’s move a permanent one for the next three seasons. The contract will take effect from the start of next season. The three-year deal will see Misic remain in Thessaloniki until the end of the 2023 campaign.

PAOK triggered Misic’s buyout clause, which was agreed upon by the two clubs when Sporting Lisbon initially loaned the Croatian to PAOK last year. The official unveiling of Misic as a permanent signing will be made after PAOK, and Sporting Lisbon both formalise the payment installments. The official announcement from the club could be made as late as June when Misic’s loan deal ends. Misic’s agent, Mladen Grgic, was in Thessaloniki on Saturday and met with PAOK officials to finalize the deal between all the parties. It is reported that PAOK will pay Sporting Lisbon 1.8 million euros.

Misic has been a standout and consistent performer for PAOK this season, having made 24 appearances in the league while scoring five goals and providing eight assists.

Leo Jaba to miss the rest of the season

Brazilian winger, Leo Jaba, has had a setback on his road to recovery from a knee injury and is now expected to miss the rest of the 2019/20 season. The winger was injured in a friendly in November against Doxa Drama. Since then, the youngster suffered an infection to his injured knee, and he has lost ground in his recovery. As a result, he is not expected to feature for the rest of the season.
