PAOK announce roster for Benfica without Wernbloom
PAOK announced the roster than will compete against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League playoffs, however the list did not include new signing Pontus Wernbloom.

After taking out the Russians 3:2 on aggregate, the Dikefalos tou Vora will now compete against Portugal’s runner-ups, Benfica, for a place in the UEFA Champions League group stages. The roster submitted to UEFA by Razvan Lucescu for PAOK’s matches against Benfica does not include any changes from the list of players submitted for the matches against Spartak Moscow in the previous qualifying round.
Absent from the roster is PAOK’s new signing, Pontus Wernbloom. The Swede will continue to train with his new team and the Romanian boss will have the final say if Wernbloom will be included in the roster. PAOK are allowed two changes to the roster up to 24 hours before kick-off and if Wernbloom is deemed ready to play, he will be included in the roster for the crucial fixtures against the Portuguese outfit.

Goalkeepers: Alexandros Paschalakis, Rodrigo Rey, Panagiotis Glykos, Marios Siampanis
Defenders: Léo Matos, Stelios Kitsiou, Fernando Varela, José Ángel Crespo, Stelios Malezas, Yevhen Khacheridi, Vieirinha, Eleftherios Lyratzis
Midfielders: Maurício, José Cañas, Charis Charisis, Dimitris Pelkas, Omar El Kaddouri, Amr Warda, Dimitris Limnios, Diego Biseswar
Forwards: Lazaros Lamprou, Léo Jabá, Aleksandar Prijović, Chuba Akpom
PAOK will travel to Benfica for the first leg on Tuesday, August 21st and will then host the Eagles at the Toumba stadium on Wednesday, August 29th with hopes of booking a place in the UEFA Champions League group stages for the first time in club history.
