PAS Giannina pick up important win at Chania

PAS Giannina got back to winning ways in the Super League 2 on Friday afternoon, defeating FC Chania 1-0 on the road.

One of the main promotion favourites, PAS Giannina remain undefeated in the 2019/2020 Super League 2 after four rounds, beating Chania and Levadiakos while drawing with Panachaiki and Ergotelis. PAS currently occupy second place of the standings with eight points on the board.

Chania are down in sixth with four points.

In the first half, Jean-Baptiste Leo came close to an opener for PAS, as he slid his shot wide when clean through. Chania rarely threatened.

It took until the 59th minute for PAS Giannina to make the breakthrough.

Receiving the ball inside the penalty area, Alexandros Kartalis twisted to a shooting position before firing his attempt into the bottom right corner.

PAS saw the game out with relative ease as Chania struggled to create many chances.
