PERISTERI 82-78 PANATHINAIKOS

Peristeri are continuing to rapidly develop. Enjoying another excellent season, Peristeri sent shockwaves across the Basket League once again, becoming the first team to beat Panathinaikos in the current championship

Peristeri also defeated Panathinaikos at home in the 2018/2019 regular season.

Initially, Peristeri did lose the first quarter by seven points, but they recovered to subsequently take the second 25-15. Playing with confidence, Peristeri subsequently claimed the third quarter 28-15, and, although Panathinaikos threatened a comeback in the fourth frame, the hosts clung on to a dramatic victory.

Yanick Moreira achieved an impressive double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Ioannis Papapetrou was the top scorer for Panathinaikos with 15 points.

LAVRIO 92-88 PAOK

Not long ago, it seemed as though PAOK had put an end to their poor form, but negative results have since returned as the Dikefalos tou Vorra conceded their third consecutive defeat across all competitions.

Lavrio, who got back to winning ways after three successive defeats, immediately put themselves in a great position by winning the opening quarter of play 22-13. PAOK came close to equalising in the fourth quarter, but Lavrio held firm.

Quenton Decosey (22 points) and Kyle Allman (21 points) stood out for the home team with strong performances.

IRAKLIS 70-72 PROMITHEAS

Promitheas were taken all the way by Iraklis, but in a frantic finish, the Patras organisation emerged victorious to secure another morale-boosting win as their strong run continues.

In a tight, tense battle, both teams won two quarters each, but Promitheas just had enough to move across the winning line. This is Iraklis’ maiden loss in three games after beating Lavrio and Kolossos Rodou in their past two matches.

Dimitris Agravanis registered 18 points for Promitheas, while Iraklis’ Olivier Hanlan was the leading scorer of the game with 21 points to his name.

PANIONIOS 74-71 LARISA

The Panthers came close to completely imploding in Palaio Faliro. Before the fourth quarter began, Panionios boasted a large lead against Larisa, but they lost the concluding period 23-10 to make it a rather nervy ending to the match.

Nevertheless, Panionios did hang on, and this is their third victory in as many Basket League games. Larisa, on the other hand, have conceded three defeats in their most recent four matches.

Dimitris Verginis tallied 19 points for the victors.

RETHYMNO CRETAN KINGS 90-76 IONIKOS NIKAIA

Inconsistent Rethymno, a club which continues to trade victories and losses every week, overpowered Ionikos Nikaia in Crete to storm to a 90-76 triumph.

Rethymno were in charge of the game after winning the first two periods 26-21 and 25-20 respectively.

Lamond Murray was the star of the show with a huge 31 points. Steve Burtt scored 29 points for Ionikos Nikaia.

IFAISTOS LIMNOU 72-64 KOLOSSOS RODOU

Kolossos, without a victory since November 23, suffered yet another defeat as Ifaistos Limnou claimed an eight-point win at home.

Ifaistos Limnou, however, snapped their two-game losing streak.

Sean Evans (14 points) and Spyros Mourtos (10 points) were the two Ifaistos Limnou players to reach double figures in terms of points.
