Peristeri to compete in Basketball Champions League

Peristeri announced that they will compete in next season’s Basketball Champions League.

Peristeri put together a fantastic season in the Basket League, claiming second place in the regular season while advancing the semi-finals of the playoffs, where they were eliminated by eventual champions Panathinaikos. The Peristeri outfit are currently fighting for pride in the third-place series against AEK.

Due to their successful domestic season, Peristeri have been allocated a place in next year’s Basketball Champions League. On Tuesday, the club released an official announcement stating that they will compete at the continental stage next year and have chosen to participate in the Basketball Champions League as opposed to other options such as the EuroLeague’s EuroCup.

It will be Peristeri’s first appearance in Europe after a 15-year hiatus.
