This season, Serbian international Prijovic has been in superb form in Thessaloniki, bagging a large nine goals in just 13 Super League matches to fire PAOK to first place of the standings. In all competitions, the powerful 28-year old has registered 18 goals in 27 matches, in turn attracting interest from foreign clubs.

According to the Greek media, rich Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad have already engaged in negotiations with PAOK concerning Prijovic. Initially, their bid of eight million euros was rejected, but in the last couple of days, Al Ittihad have now expressed their readiness to meet Prijovic’s release clause of 10 million euros. Prijovic is under contract at PAOK until the summer of 2022.

In the past, Prijovic has always stated his desire to stay at PAOK, but he may find it difficult to decline Al Ittihad’s lucrative proposal. Reports suggest that Al Ittihad are prepared to offer Prijovic a 4.5 year contract with a monthly salary of an incredible 460,000 euros! In comparison, Prijovic only earns 120,000 per month in Greece. If Prijovic does sign for Al Ittihad, he will earn a grand total of 25 million over the course of the 4.5 years, money which PAOK would never be able to offer the striker.

Assuming Al Ittihad, who are coached by well known Croatian manager Slaven Bilic, do activate the release clause of 10 million, Prijovic will have to make a decision on where to continue his career. On Transfermarkt, his value is rated at six million.
