AEK have acquired the services of Howard Sant-Roos for the upcoming season after successfully luring the Cuban forward from Aegean rivals Darussafaka.

Sant-Roos, who played an important part in Darussafaka’s title-winning campaign in the 7Days EuroCup last season, joins the Enosi after declining an option for an extension with the Turkish.

As a small forward, Sant-Roos is expected to fill the void left in the AEK starting lineup following the departure of Kevin Punter earlier this offseason.

Sant-Roos, 27, went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft but has since featured for several clubs around Europe including Czech outfit CEZ Nymburk, who he helped guide to two Czech League titles and a Czech Cup over the course of two season.
