Semedo has been a rock for Olympiacos since joining from Villarreal last summer. Playing with physicality and confidence in the centre of defence, the 26-year-old has made a huge difference to Olympiacos at the back, even popping up with five goals at the other end. However, in worrying news for Olympiacos supporters, the powerful defender revealed that he wants to move to a stronger league when speaking to Portuguese media.

Benfica have been heavily linked with a swoop for Semedo in recent weeks.

According to reports in Portugal, Olympiacos are demanding 10 million euros for Semedo, with Transfermarkt valuing the player at 4.8 million. Porto and Sporting have also supposedly been showing interest in Semedo.

Olympiacos will seriously consider selling Semedo if their asking price is met. So far, Semedo has competed in 37 games across all competitions for the Erythrolefki, helping the club pull away in first place of the Super League and qualify for the Last 16 of the UEFA Europa League.

ELABDELLAOUI FUTURE UNCERTAIN

The future of Omar Elabdellaoui remains very much up in the air. As it stands, his contract with Olympiacos is due to expire at the end of June, and Turkish clubs have shown particular interest in securing a deal with the talented Norwegian right-back.

Elabdellaoui and the Olympiacos management both want to sign a new agreement. Nevertheless, despite that desire, the two parties are still yet to reach a financial compromise with negotiations no closer to a successful conclusion.

During the current campaign, the 28-year-old has been a key figure for Pedro Martins’ team, participating in 38 matches and scoring one goal in the Super League. Elabdellaoui has been on Olympiacos’ books since 2014.

BA, CAMARA WANTED BY ARSENAL

Ousseynou Ba has caught the eye with his solid performances for Olympiacos throughout the campaign. Signed from Gazelec Ajaccio in the winter of 2019, the 24-year-old Senegalese defender has made impressive progress in Greece this season, earning the trust of Pedro Martins and competing in key matches. Reports are now suggesting that Arsenal, who were defeated by Olympiacos in the Europa League this year, are contemplating whether to submit a bid for Ba in the summer transfer window.

Olympiacos are demanding at least 20 million for Ba. Incidentally, Ba played an important role in the beating of Arsenal in February, spending the entire 120 minutes on the pitch as Olympiacos claimed a famous 2-1 triumph at the Emirates Stadium.

Guinean defensive midfielder, Mohamed Camara, is also on the watchlist of Arsenal. Valued at 6.5 million by Transfermarkt, Camara is one of Olympiacos’ most prized possessions, calmly controlling the play with his assured manner of playing the game. Camara has also been linked with AC Milan in the last month.

EL ARABI WANTED BY BESIKTAS

Youssef El Arabi has been a revelation since transferring to Olympiacos in July 2019. A lethal finisher, the experienced Moroccan forward has been unstoppable for the Piraeus-based organisation, leading the Super League scoring charts with 17 markers while also grabbing seven goals in European tournaments.

Over the past week, reports have stated that Besiktas are interested in signing El Arabi, but Olympiacos certainly don’t want to lose their main goal threat. His value is rated at two million by Transfermarkt.

Furthermore, Konstantinos Tsimikas is still drawing plenty of solid interest from Napoli and Internazionale in Italy, Jose Sa is being closely watched by Spanish clubs and Leganes want to keep Miguel Angel Guerrero beyond the 2019/2020 season.
