Siampanis, Ba and Randjelovic unveiled by Olympiacos

On Monday, Olympiacos unveiled the signings of Marios Siampanis, Ousseynou Ba and Lazar Randjelovic, while Avraam Papadopoulos penned a contract extension.

Olympiacos revealed Siampanis’ arrival with a statement on social media:

“Marios Siampanis welcome to Olympiacos FC!”

Siampanis, 19, had previously been on the books of PAOK. However, the young goalkeeper decided to leave Thessaloniki this summer as a free agent, penning a four-year contract with Olympiacos.

He has regularly been called up to the Greek youth national teams over the years. Transfermarkt rates his value at 250,000 euros.

BA SIGNS FROM GAZELEC AJACCIO

In January, Senegalese defender Ousseynou Ba had already signed a four-year contract with Olympiacos, but the club didn’t reveal the transfer and the 23-year-old remained on loan at Gazelec Ajaccio for the remainder of the season.

Nevertheless, Olympiacos have now eventually unveiled his signing:

“Ousseynou Ba is now a member of the Olympiacos family!”

Olympiacos had purchased the promising centre-back for 500,000.

During the 2018/2019 campaign, Ba competed in 33 matches for Gazelec Ajaccio across all competitions, scoring one goal in Ligue 2. He was a key figure in the centre of the Gazelec Ajaccio defence.

RANDJELOVIC RETURNS FROM LOAN

Last summer, Olympiacos completed the signing of promising Serbian winger Randjelovic from Radnicki Nis, but the Erythrolefki left the 21-year-old on loan at the club for the 2018/2019 season.

Randjelovic has earned a re-call to Piraeus and will feature in the team’s pre-season training camps. Olympiacos confirmed his arrival on social media:

“Lazar Randjelovic welcome to Olympiacos FC!”

Randjelovic’s Olympiacos contract runs through to June of 2023.

Most comfortable on the left wing, Randjelovic is coming off the back of a positive season with Radnicki Nis in Serbia, registering seven goals and 12 assists in 40 matches. His value is rated at 1.5 million by Transfermarkt.

PAPADOPOULOS EXTENDS CONTRACT

Veteran defender Avraam Papadopoulos, who joined Olympiacos in the winter transfer window, has extended his contract with the club for another year:

“Avraam Papadopoulos has renewed with Olympiacos FC!”

Papadopoulos, 34, returned to Olympiacos from Brisbane Roar in January after spending two years in Australia. Mainly kept on the sidelines, the centre-back made two Super League appearances in the second half of the 2018/2019 Super League in games against Xanthi and AEL.
