In a highly anticipated clash, Olympiacos emerged victorious at the Toumba Stadium, as Dimitris Giannoulis’ inadvertently directed Lazar Randjelovic’s attempt beyond Alexandros Paschalakis at point blank range in the 49th minute. As a result of their victory, the Erythrolefki now boast a commanding five-point advantage over PAOK in first place of the Super League table, with one round of the regular season remaining before the playoffs begin. This is PAOK’s first home defeat in the domestic championship since the 2016/2017 playoffs.

At the Olympic Stadium, AEK produced a powerful display against OFI, earning a routine 3-0 triumph with Petros Mantalos and Daniele Verde - twice - scoring within the opening 31 minutes of play. Claiming the three points, the Enosi are now nine clear of Panathinaikos in third position, and they now only trail second-placed PAOK by eight. Marko Livaja, however, was sent off for a second yellow card in the closing stages.

OFI currently occupy sixth spot with 31 points. However, Asteras Tripolis (30 points), Atromitos (29 points) and Xanthi (29 points) are also still in the hunt for sixth position, the last remaining playoff berth. The Cretans will qualify for the championship playoffs if they defeat Lamia in Heraklion next week.

On Saturday, Panathinaikos saw their hopes of a top-four finish diminish further, as Eneko Jauregi conjured up a last-gasp equaliser for Asteras Tripolis to snatch a 1-1 draw. Initially, Federico Macheda opened the scoring from the penalty spot, but Ghayas Zahid subsequently received a red card before Jauregi equalised for the hosts. Panathinaikos maintain a seven-point lead over Aris after the latter were held to a 2-2 draw by Lamia.

Elsewhere, Panetolikos defeated doomed Panionios, Atromitos kept their playoff hopes alive with an important victory over Xanthi in Peristeri and AE Larissa played to a 0-0 draw in Volos.

Player of the Week: Christos Aravidis (Lamia)

On his Lamia debut, the experienced 32-year-old took a leading role in the 2-2 draw with Aris at home, scoring twice from point blank range to give his team a two-goal lead before the visitors came roaring back.

Goal of the Week: Daniele Verde (AEK)

In the eighth minute of play, the Italian winger scored a beauty for AEK, showing fantastic control to keep the ball, dribble past his markers and slot a low effort past the OFI goalkeeper. The 23-year-old later doubled his tally to secure a comfortable 3-0 triumph for the Kitrinomavri.
