Sloukas pens three-year deal with Olympiacos

Kostas Sloukas has penned a three-year deal with Olympiacos after leaving Fenerbahce, the Piraeus-based organisation has confirmed.

Olympiacos released this following statement on Friday evening:

“Olympiacos BC announces its agreement with Kostas Sloukas.

“The Greek guard met with the Olympiacos presidents, Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos, and shook hands to return to Piraeus and wear the jersey again with which he won the 2012 and 2013 EuroLeague.

“The 30-year-old playmaker will be a player of the Erythrolefki for the next three years.”

Sloukas has departed Fenerbahce following a successful five-year stint with the Turkish giants. 

The 30-year-old previously played for Olympiacos between 2008 and 2015. Before he moved to Turkey, Sloukas claimed the EuroLeague title in both 2012 and 2013 with the Erythrolefki, while also winning two Greek championships and one Greek Cup. Sloukas subsequently won the 2017 EuroLeague with Fenerbahce.

Furthermore, Sloukas became a Turkish champion in 2016, 2017 and 2018. He has participated in several competitions with the Greek national team.
