Sokratis scores as Arsenal draw
Sokratis Papastathopoulos hit the back of the net on Sunday, as Arsenal drew 2-2 at home to Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

With seven minutes on the clock, the 31-year-old Greek defender got Arsenal on the board against Crystal Palace, slamming the ball home with the opposing goalkeeper out of position.
Papastathopoulos thought he had scored his second goal in the closing stages of the game. However, with the score locked at 2-2, his potential winner was disallowed for a foul in the build-up. The centre-back had emphatically fired his shot into the net at point blank range.
The match did indeed end 2-2. Arsenal currently occupy fifth place of the English Premier League with 16 points from 10 games.
This was Papastathopoulos’ maiden goal of the 2019/2020 campaign. He has received plenty of criticism from the Arsenal supporters for his recent performances.
