After the departure of Aleksandar Prijovic, PAOK were initially linked with Marcus Berg and Leo Bonatini, but in the end, the Dikefalos tou Vorra set their sights on 21-year old Polish striker Swiderski. This season, the young Pole has struck eight goals and dished out one assist in 17 Ekstraklasa matches with Jagiellonia Białystok, in turn attracting the attentions of PAOK, Genoa, Empoli and VfB Stuttgart. PAOK faced competition to sign Swiderski, but on Saturday morning, he was pictured arriving at Thessaloniki airport ahead of his proposed move to the Super League leaders:

According to the latest reports in the media, PAOK will pay Jagiellonia between two and three million euros in order to acquire sign Swiderski’s services.

Previously, Swiderski used to be on the books of UKS SMS Lodz, before he moved to Jagiellonia in 2014. He has also represented various Polish youth national teams and is considered a real prospect. His value is rated at 750 thousand euros by Transfermarkt.

CRESPO RENEWS UNTIL 2021, GIANNOULIS SET TO RETURN

Via his Instagram account, Giorgos Savvidis revealed that defender Jose Angel Crespo has extended his PAOK contract through to 2021, while left-back Dimitris Giannoulis is set to return to the Thessaloniki organisation from Atromitos.

Originally, Giannoulis’ loan at Atromitos was due to expire in the summer, but PAOK have now decided to recall the promising 23-year old for the second half of the 2018/2019 campaign. In the current season, Giannoulis has played in 14 Super League matches with Atromitos, registering three assists.

It’s possible that Giannoulis will play for Atromitos against Xanthi in the Super League on Sunday ahead of his PAOK return next week.
