The first round of the Greek cup concluded last week with 20 teams booking their place to the second round.

The Greek cup has undergone a new format for the 2017/18 season, including clubs from Greeceā€™s lower divisions. In recent years, the cup was only comprised of teams from the SuperLeague and the Football League.

The first round of the Cup took place last week and below are the results of the matches. The winners of the 20 pairs advanced to the second round along with Megas Alexandros Trikalon Imathias, who received a bye to the next round.

Zone 1

Apollon Paralimniou - Thraki Ferron 4:0

Aris Avatou - Ethnikos Neou Keramidiou 1:0

Ermis Amyntaiou - AE Kalabakiou 2:1

Doxa Neou Sidichoriou - AO Kardias 0:0 (3:4 pen.)

Anagennisi Plagias - Iraklis Polykarpis 2:2 (4:2 aet)

Kavala - Giannitsa 0:1

Zone 2

Oikonomos Tsaritsanis - AE Mesologgiou 1:0

Makedonikos Foufas - Niki Volou 1:1 (2-3 pen)

Tilikratis - AO Sellanon 2:1

Asteras Iteas - Thesprotos 0:1

Pallixouriakos - AE Xirovouniou 1:0

Zone 3

Diagoras Vrachniakon - Aiolikos 2:2 (4-5 pen)

AE Ermionidas - Dafni Dafnona 7:1

Thyella Kamariou - Kifisia 2:0

Korinthos - Kalamata 1:1, 2:2 aet (5-4 pen)

Kithairon Kaparelliou - Pansamikos 4:0

Zone 4

Antimachos - Thyella Rafinas 3:1

The following matches will make up the second round of the competition.

The following 11 teams received a by to the third round via a draw process: Apollon Paralimniou, Aris Avatou, Niki Volou, AO Kardias, Tilikratis Lefkadas, Ethnikos Piraeus, Ierapetras, Korinthos, Thyella Kamariou, and Kithairon Kaparelliou.
