With the Greek SuperLeague season well underway as another derby awaits this weekend, AGONAsport.com takes a look at the tie-breaker criteria in the Greek SuperLeague. The Superleague proceeded to a few changes in the criteria from last season, however head-to-head results remains the first tie-breaker this season. Note that the below criteria takes into if two OR more teams are level on point

If two or more teams are equal on points, the following criteria are applied to determine the final SuperLeague rankings:

  1. Higher number of points obtained in the league matches played between the teams in question (i.e. head to head results)
  2. Superior goal difference from the league matches played between the teams in question (i.e. head to head goal difference)
  3. Higher number of goals scored (goals forced) from the league matches played between the teams in question (i.e. head to head goals scored)
  4. Superior goal difference from ALL the league matches played (i.e. overall goal difference)
  5. Higher number of goals scored from ALL the league matches played (i.e. overall goals forced)
  6. Lowest number of goals conceded from ALL the league matches played (i.e. overall goal conceded)
