On the final matchday of the Super League, all eyes will be at the bottom of the table as three clubs will fight to avoid the drop, including Asteras Tripolis, OFI, and PAS Giannina. Both Levadiakos (15th) and Apollon Smyrnis (16th) have been mathematically relegated and one other club (14th place) will join them in next year’s Super League 2.

With the restructuring of Greece’s football leagues, the top flight will now see three teams (14-16th) automatically relegated to the second division while the Super League’s 13th placed team will compete with the Football League’s (second division) runner-up side in a promotion/relegation playoff for a spot in the 2019/20 Super League. The Football League champions, Volos NFC, were automatically promoted to next season's Super League.

Asteras Tripolis currently sit with 30 points in the golden position of 12th place, which ensures a place in next year’s top flight, while OFI are 13th with 29 points and PAS Giannina are in the dommed 14th spot with 27 points. Xanthi are 11th with 32 points, but cannot be relegated as they hold a super head-to-head record over OFI in a possible tie on 32 points.

CURRENT STANDINGS

12. Asteras Tripolis 30 pts

13. OFI  29 pts

14. PAS Giannina 27 pts

MATCHDAY 30 FIXTURES

Asteras Tripolis - Panionios

Atromitos - OFI

PAS Giannina - PAOK

On the final matchday, Asteras Tripolis will host an indifferent Panionios side while OFI have a tough test away to Atromitos. PAS Giannina, however, have the hardest task at hand as they host champions PAOK, who are looking to become the second team in the Greek top flight to finish a league season undefeated.

MATCHDAY 30 RELEGATION SCENARIOS

Asteras Tripolis can only drop to 13th in the standings and are not in threat of falling down to 14th, the automatic drop zone. PAS Giannina, however, can only climb to 13th and hope to salvage safety in the promotion/relegation playoff. OFI can jump into 12th and avoid the playoff all together, but can also drop to 14th and suffer automatic relegation.

In the case of a tie, the first tie-breaker is head-to-head results followed by goal differential in head-to-head matches. If there is a three-way tie, only the matches between the three tied teams will be taken into account in the head-to-head criteria, followed by goal differential of the matches between the three teams in question.

Asteras Tripolis hold the advantage in all possible tie scenarios while PAS Giannina are inferior in all tie scenarios.
