Top 10 Bundesliga Players of The Season

The last season of the Bundesliga was definitely one to remember. For once, Bayern Munich didn’t dominate the field, which gave other players a chance to shine.

Picking the top 10 players of the season is no easy feat. There were plenty of different names, and heaps of talent. But, as the Bundesliga resumes, let’s count off the top players for the season. 

Christopher Nkunku

The first player on the list is just a newbie in the grand scheme of things. He’s only 22, and making his debut signed to RB Leipzig. 

Despite this, he’s had a decent inning with them, and has made his mark as being one of the best players of the season. It’s a pretty good start to what is hopefully a long career. 

Alassane Plea

Following his break into the German football scene in 2018, this player has gone from strength to strength. He has proven the season that he has matured nicely as a team player, and is willing to put the effort in to generate the results. He’s earned his spot on this list, as any of his recent matches will no doubt convince you. 

Suat Serdar

Well, this player may have got off to a rocky start in the past, but he is more than made up for it by scoring seven goals in 17 appearances. He definitely cemented his position as being the most powerful players of the season, and was a definite improvement over his previous performances.

Thiago Alcantara

Well, what we’ve got here is Thiago, who’s commanded a spot on the list. This guy is a pretty important part of the current Bayern Munich lineup, for quite a few reasons.

His performance this season was pretty solid, and he stood out as being one of the most reliable players on the team for all the games he was in. That’s earned him a spot here. 

Marco Reus

A slightly older player in the field, Marco is someone who struggles with the limitations and reputation his age has garnered. At 30, he’s a little past his prime, but this has not stopped him from becoming a regular powerhouse in the field. 

He’s actually a role model for people everywhere. He inspires legendary players who are young and inexperienced, and this has put him on the list for this reason. 

Alphonso Davies

We’ve got a powerful player here in the shape of this man. He is 19, and his first season here with Bayern Munich is one which has proven to be a fantastic one. 

Expertly manifesting his skills on the field, Davies has proven to the world that he belongs on this list. He’s set the world on fire for his first outing, and that will impact his career in a lot of ways. 

Timo Werner

Timo is a player signed to Leipzig. He has proven his worth during this season in a big way. Because of his skill, and commitment to the game, he has become one of the most in-demand strikers the game has ever seen. In fact, if this keeps up, he might find himself in the enviable position of being one of the top goal scorers of the season. 

Filip Kostic

Eintracht Frankfurt owe their strong performance this season to Kostic. He has really managed to step up his game over the last few months and it has done big things for his career. 

He carved out a name for himself this year as being one of the best players about. His skills were pretty considerable and he earned his position on the list. 

Jadon Sancho

Now this is one of your typical success stories. Did you know that Jadon began life as a Manchester City reject? Now, he’s playing in the big leagues, he’s one of the best players in the season - his story is inspiring because it is so realistic. 

He may have suffered hardships in the past. It may not have gone so well for him then, but now he has proven himself to be a reliable player. 

Robert Lewandowski

So it is probably no surprise that this man has appeared on the list. He’s consistently one of the best goal scorers in Europe and his performance this season was equally impressive. 

Robert has shown that he has no signs of slowing down and continues to be one of the most capable and professional players about. His style is as refined as ever and he was always going to be on this list. 

So, these are the best players of the season. They have all demonstrated that they have what it takes to be the best of the best. They have proven that they have the skill required to stand out. It was a pretty tough season and a lot of people did a very good job playing the game. These were the ones that stood out. These were the ones that managed to prove that they could be better than everybody else. They earned their place on this list by being better. They did what they had to do to succeed and they did it so well. These are the people you’re going to want to watch next season too, because they’ve proven what they can do.
