The four players in the other group (Group Bjorn Borg) are Serbia’s Novak Djokovic (world number two), Switzerland’s Roger Federer (world number three), Austria’s Dominic Thiem (world number five), and Italy’s Matteo Berrettini (world number eight). The top two players from each group will advance to the semifinals.

Tsitsipas holds a 1-4 record against Nadal, and is 2-10 in sets against the Spaniard. Nadal won both of their previous matches on hard courts, though they have never played on indoor hard courts which could benefit the Greek. Tsitsipas is 0-5 against Medvedev, and 4-11 in sets against the Russian. Medvedev won all four of their previous matches on hard courts, including one on indoor hard. Lastly, Tsitsipas is 3-1 against Zverev, 2-1 on hard courts, and they have never played against each other indoors.

On the other hand, Tsitsipas could’ve been drawn with Djokovic, who he is 2-2 against (and 2-1 on hard courts), instead of Nadal. Tsitsipas could’ve been drawn with Federer, who he is 1-2 against (all on hard courts), instead of Medvedev. Finally, Tsitsipas could’ve faced Berrettini, who he is 2-0 against (both meetings on hard courts), instead of Zverev (the defending champion).

Tsitsipas will play his opening match on Monday against Medvedev at 14:00 local time in London (16:00 Greece time).
