CYPRIOT SOCCER (UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE): A changed APOEL side walked into the GSP Stadium on Wednesday night to face Romanian champions Viitorul just a week since their 1-0 defeat in Romania and the termination of former coach Mario Been. The return of Giorgos Donis saw APOEL put together a much awaited performance defeating Viitorul 4-0 in overtime to advance to the next round of Champions League qualifying.

CYPRIOT SOCCER (UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE): AEK, AEL and Apollon recorded a win, a draw and a defeat, respectively in the first leg of the Europa League 3rd qualifying round. Despite the different results, all teams put together good performances and have high hopes to proceed to the playoff round of qualifying.

CYPRIOT SOCCER (UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE): The three Cypriot teams, AEL, AEK and Apollon, each recorded a win in the second leg of their respective qualifiers and advanced to the 3rd qualifying round in the Europa League. AEL and AEK recorded home wins over Progres (2-1) and Cork City (1-0) respectively, while Apollon won away 1-2 against Zaria in Moldova.
