AEK has made their first signing of the winter with Astrit Ajdarevic. The Swedish midfielder signed a contract until June 2019.

Astrit Ajdarevic was recently released by Orebro and has decided to continue his career in Greece with AEK. The Swedish midfielder came to Greece last night and this morning, he signed a contract with AEK until 2019. He will begin training with the rest of the team in hopes of being ready to play in his first game at the start of 2017.

The 26-year old had a small spell in England with Liverpool and Leicester City before returning to Sweden for Orebro in 2010 and later that year, he signed with Norrkoping (2011-2012, 40 appearances with 6 goals). In 2012, he made a big career move to Standard Liege where he played for two seasons (26 appearances and 2 goals) before being loaned out in 2014 to Charlton and Helsingborg in 2015. His last stop before AEK was with Obero where he made 35 appearances while scoring six goals.

Ajdarevic has also played with Sweden's youth national teams without having made an appearance with the Men’s team.
