Slovakia 0 - 0 England

England and Slovakia played to a goalless in the final matchday of Group B. Although England dominated the game by creating many chances and controlling possession, Slovakia’s back line “wall” proved to be tough enough to hold the clean sheet. Slovakia sat back in their own half as a draw would secure them 3rd place in the group with 4 points. On the other hand, England needed the win to claim top stop, but their dominance failed to provide a goal and the English finished behind Wales in group B. The “Three Lions” will now face the runner-up from Group F which could result in a difficult opponent, such as Portugal. Slovakia’s 4 points will almost assure them a place in the final 16 as one of the top four 3rd place teams.
