- Tachtsidis Returns to Torino -
Greek International, Panagiotis Tachtsidis, has made a move from Genoa to Torino in the Italian Serie A. Tachtsidis played on loan to Torino during the 2013-2014 season and will return to the side after signing a 3-year contract earlier this week.
Last season Tachtsidis played on loan from Genoa at Hellas Verona (teammates with Vangelis Moras). The Greek midfielder was irreplaceable in the starting line-up, recording 34 appearances for the club and scoring 3 goals. Unfortunately for Hellas Verona and Tachtsidis (and Moras), the club was relegated from the Serie A to the Serie B after a poor season.
With Tachtsidis expected to receive little playing time at Genoa, he decided to make a move to his former club Torino. The Greek midfielder played at Torino during the 2013-2014 season on loan from Catania, making 11 appearances and scoring one goal. After signing a 3-year contract with the club, Tachtsidis stated “I chose Torino to be a leader of the team and one of the club’s best players. I can’t wait to reunite with these great fans.”
