Another Greek Cup goes to  Panathinaikos…The Prasini defeated Aris 68-59 to win their sixth straight Greek Cup Title.

After a rather even first half that ended 29-27 in favor of Panathinaikos, the Trifylli took control of the game to increase their lead to as many 17-points (54-37) in the fourth quarter.

However, the hosts were not out yet as a dry spell from Panathinaikos allowed Aris to pull within four points midway through the fourth quarter, setting up for an exciting finale.

Panathinaikos quickly put an end to the suspense, re-finding their form and with good defense on one end and important points from Calathes and Rivers on the other end, regained a decisive advantage.

The final buzzer gave Panathinaikos a 68-59 victory as they claimed their SIXTH straight Greek Cup Title.

The MVP of the Final, James Feldene, led Panathinaikos with 18 points while the Prasini’s captain, Nick Calathes, put on a great performance with 15 points. For the losing side, Cummings and Jenkins finished the game with 20 and 12 points, respectively.

This is Panathinaikos’ first title of the season and their 18th Greek Cup in the club’s history, the most out of any other team in Greece. As for Aris, they failed to claim their 9th Cup Title which would have brought them level with Olympiacos, who trail Panathinaikos.
