Lamia recorded another victory after their win away to Anagennisi Karditsas while Aris remained winless for a fourth match running. OFI, Kallithea, Kissamikos, Panegialios, and Panserraikos were all victorious on Matchday 17 of the Greek Football League.

Aris failed to earn a victory for a fourth straight match in the Football League as they played to a goalless draw away to Sparti. The draw leaves Aris 8 points behind second placed Lamia, who defeated Anagennisi Karditsas earlier today. Sparti remain in 6th place on 25 points.

Lamia continued their run for promotion with an easy 0-2 win away to Anagennisi Karditsas. Vasilogiannis opened the scoring in the 55th minute and Durmishaj sealed the three points with his goal nine minutes later. Lamia are currently second in the standings, eight points ahead of third placed Aris. However, it is likely that Lamia will be deducted six points for using six foreigners in their match against Sparti, bringing new life to the promotion race. The final decision about the points deduction will be made by the sports court.

OFI's hopes for promotion were boosted with their 0-1 win on the road against Aiginiakos. The only goal of the match came in the 28th minute with Chanti's penalty. OFI are tied for fourth place, 13 points behind second placed Lamia.

Agrotikos Asteras will be extremely disappointed with their goalless draw against bottom of the table Panelefsiniakos. The result keeps Agrotikos Asteras in fourth place along with OFI while trailing Lamia by 13 points. Panelefsiniakos moved up to 9 points, 7 points away from safety.

Big wins were recorded by Kallithea, Kissamikos, Panegialios, and Panserraikos. Both Kallithea and Kissamikos moved further away from the relegation zone (tied on 19 points) by defeating Chania 3-1 and Acharnaikos 1-0, respectively. Panegialios jumped over Trikala in the standings with their 1-0 win as Kalloni’s horrendous season continued with a 3-1 defeat away to Panserraikos.

Apollon Smyrnis were awarded all three points against Panthrakikos.
