A tight first half at the Tasos Markou Municipal Stadium in Paralimni saw Salamina find the opening goal in the 37th minute with Farshad Noor’s deflected effort beating Boris Kleyman.

An early siege in the second half from Paralimni did not bring an equalizer as their efforts failed to find the target. Salamina, however, balanced the game out and having Tonia Tisdell on a great day looked to seal the three points. However, it was the home side that touched the equalizer in the 73rd minute, as Anderson Correia stopped Mateusz Szczepaniak’s header on the goal line.

In a high tense finale, Theodosis Siathas went face to face with Kleyman, but failed to score in the 86th minute. Moments later on the other side of the pitch, another header by Szczepaniak was this time denied by the crossbar. During stoppage time, Aggelis Aggeli entered Salamina’s penalty area, sent a dangerous cross across the goaline, but it passed through everyone and the visitors held on for the win.

Paralimni remain just a point above the bottom of the table, while Salamina managed to improve to sixth, two points behind leaders Anorthosis and Omonoia.

Pafos FC visited Olympiakos in a tough matchup between two teams thirsty for points. A boring first half ended without anything to mention, which was not a prelude for the second half.

In the 59th minute, Giorgos Valerianos had an effort from the left side forcing Mario Kirev to a big save for the hosts. Two minutes later, Giorgos Economides hit Artur Rudko’s post after a beautiful attempt.

The breakthrough came in the 75th minute for Olympiakos with Fabrice Kah. Dylan Duventru held the ball against plenty of opposing pressure and gave it to Kah with perfect timing and the Cameroonian beat Rudko with an excellent finish.

Pafos made a final push to find the equalizer and that came in the game’s final play as Lulinha sent the ball into Kirev’s net after a corner kick. Olympiakos are now 10th with three points, while Pafos are just above in ninth with seven points.
