DIAGORAS DRIOPIDEON 71-89 AEK

AEK, winners of the competition in 2018, have safely qualified for the final of the Greek Cup for the second time in three years.

As expected, the Enosis had far too much power and quality for their lower-league opponents in Aigaleo, breezing to a comfortable 89-71 victory with minimal fuss. Young gun Nikos Rogkavopoulos, who has been in great form of late, took a leading role for AEK with 14 points, while Kendrick Ray also scored the same amount of points.

AEK won all of the first three quarters to seal the deal. To their credit, Diagoras did then claim the fourth quarter 28-19, but the match was long over as a contest.

PROMITHEAS 67-61 PERISTERI

In what was a well balanced, tight semi-final, Promitheas edged past Basketball Champions League contenders Peristeri BC in Patras, winning the match by a mere six points.

The third quarter proved decisive. In the first half, Peristeri kept to within one point of Promitheas, however the latter took the third frame 21-17 to put themselves in a good position. Promitheas subsequently won the fourth quarter 15-14 to secure qualification.

Loukas Mavrokefalidis stood out for Promitheas with an impressive 26 points to his name.
