In the early hours of Friday morning, 25-year old Hassan was witnessed arriving in Athens to complete his loan from Braga for the upcoming 2018/2019 season. In the afternoon, Olympiacos released a statement on their official social media platforms revealing that Hassan is now a Thrylos player:
“Ahmed Hassan welcome to Olympiacos!”
Interestingly, Pedro Martins has previously worked with Hassan at Rio Ave, where the forward scored 12 goals in 22 appearances during the 2014/2015 campaign. Last season, he participated in 34 matches with Braga, netting six goals and registering two assists along the way.
Olympiacos do have an option to purchase Hassan next year, however the striker (also known as Kouka or Koka) has recently penned a new contract with Braga until 2021.
