Zeca extends Copenhagen contract through to 2023

Carlos Zeca has extended his contract with FC Copenhagen through to 2023, the club have confirmed.

On Wednesday, the reigning Danish champions released this following statement:

“FC Copenhagen and Carlos Zeca have agreed to extend the player’s contract until the summer of 2023, two years longer than the previous agreement.”

Zeca shared his feelings from the contract extension:

“I feel a part of the FCK family. I love the club, the city and the fans who have made me feel at home and shown me so much love, just like everyone else in the organisation. I have enjoyed some of the best years of my career at this club, and I am very proud to be here for many years to come.”

Zeca transferred to Copenhagen from Panathinaikos in the summer of 2017. 

Since moving to Denmark, the 31-year-old has won the domestic championship with Copenhagen while also competing in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers and the group stages of the UEFA Europa League. The midfielder has scored two goals and dished out two assists across 26 matches in the current season.

Zeca has made 19 appearances for the senior Greek national team, scoring two goals.
