Nigerian striker Brown Ideye netted after 12 and 25 minutes to set an irresistible Aris on their way, and Bruno Gama was also twice on target - after 30 and 61 minutes - to complete a comprehensive victory.
It was a welcome three-point haul for the Thessaloniki club, who had gone four matches without a win and were despondent after their weekend 3-1 loss at OFI Crete.
The win moved Aris up three places from eighth to fifth on 21 points, a much healthier position which the club will hope to maintain as they go into the second half of the season in 2020.
This season was always going to be a battle against relegation for promoted Volos, and the way results are going for the Magnesia side it seems that will indeed continue to be the case. Despite last weekend’s 2-1 win over Panionios, one that ended a three-match winless skid, they remain in 11th place with 17 points.
