First-half goals from Dani Suarez (21) and Jeronimo Barrales (45+2) with side of a Mark Asigba strike (36) for Lamia gave Borja Jiménez’s Tripolis team the advantage at half-time.

And the home side continued to control much of the possession and create the best openings in the second 45 minutes, which yielded two more goals from Christos Tasoulis, who bagged a brace with his strikes coming on 51 minutes and in the second minute of added time.

The win was Asteras’ second in as many games following last weekend’s 1-0 success against bottom club Panionios, but only their third in eight matches played so far. Having said that, the three-point haul moved the Arcadians up to joint-ninth place with Volos on nine points.

Lamia, who along with Panetolikos are one of only two teams not to win so far this season, remain down in 12th place with just three points collected so far.
