Asteras salvage point away to Lamia

Walter Iglesias converted a late penalty for Asteras Tripolis to salvage a 1-1 draw away to Lamia in the final fixture of matchday 21 in the Super League.

In what was a match with few scoring opportunities for both sides, Lamia and Asteras Tripolis shared the points in a 1-1 draw on Monday evening. After a goalless first half, substitute Miguel Bianconi played a clever one-two with Lazar Romanic before the Brazilian cooly found the back of the net to put the hosts in front in the 63rd minute.
Asteras, though, did not give up and were given a lifeline in second-half stoppage time when Daniel Adejo fouled Iglesias in the penalty area, and a spot-kick was awarded. Iglesias stepped up and made no mistake from 11 meters to salvage a point for the Arkades.
Asteras Tripolis sit on 22 points, along with Volos, in 11th place while Lamia are ninth, two points ahead of the Tripolitsiotes, along with Larissa.
