Asteras Tripolis defeated Levadiakos 2-0 in Livadia on Sunday thanks to two second-half goals within the last half-hour to claim back-to-back SuperLeague victories under recently-installed coach Giorgos Paraschos.

The match was an evenly-contested affair until the home side had Souleymane Sawadogo sent off in the 50th minute for a second bookable offence, after which goals from Martin Tonso and Marc Fernandez sealed the three points for Tripolis.

Argentine forward Tonso struck in the 64th minute to finally break the deadlock, and Fernandez wrapped up the points with a late second goal in the final minute of normal time.

In was a result which chalked up Asteras’ third win of what has been a difficult campaign so far, and the Peloponnese club move up to 11th in the table with 12 points, while Levadiakos remain second from bottom.
