Atromitos kept up with the SuperLeague pacesetters on Sunday courtesy of a 1-0 home win over Levadiakos at the Peristeri Municipal Stadium in a tightly-contested matchday 14 clash.

French forward Nicolas Diguiny scored the only goal of the game to decide the desired outcome for Damir Canadi’s men, who moved level on 27 points with second-placed AEK, and two behind leaders Olympiacos.
AEK have to chance to restore their three-point gap over Atromitos and reclaim the leadership they lost at the start of the weekend to Olympiacos when they face Kerkyra on Monday night.
It was a case of the result being more important than the performance in Peristeri for Atromitos, who needed the three points to stay in touch with the pacesetters of Olympiacos, AEK and PAOK.
Canadi will be hoping his players can repeat the feat in their final match before the short Christmas break next Saturday at lowly Kerkyra.
