Calathes in fifth place of all-time EuroLeague assists

Nick Calathes, who is enjoying another strong season with Panathinaikos, is now in fifth place of the all-time EuroLeague assist charts.

On Tuesday, Calathes helped Panathinaikos claim a vital victory against Fenerbahce in the EuroLeague at an empty OAKA Indoor Hall, tallying 15 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Panathinaikos currently sit in sixth place of the regular season standings with nine victories in 14 games.

Alongside the victory, Calathes had a personal achievement to celebrate, as he moved up to fifth place in the all-time ranking of assist leaders in the EuroLeague:

Overall, the 30-year-old guard has made 197 appearances in the EuroLeague over the course of his entire career so far, dishing out a grand total of 1132 assists. Only Vassilis Spanoulis, Dimitris Diamantidis, Thomas Heurtel and Sergio Rodriguez boast more.

Tomorrow, Calathes will have the chance to add to his assist tally, as Panathinaikos face Maccabi Tel Aviv on the road in Israel.

Calathes is averaging 13.9 points, 9.1 assists and 5.3 rebounds in the 2019/2020 EuroLeague with 14 rounds of the regular season in the books.
