With PAOK and Olympiacos both securing 2:1 wins on Sunday, the Thessalonikis maintained their 10-point gap on their closest title threats, Olympiacos. The Reds do however have one game in hand as the result concerning the abandoned derby against Panathinaikos is still pending.

Olympiacos have five games remaining (includes the pending Panathinaikos result) equating to a maximum of 15 points. PAOK, on the other hand, have a 10-point lead and need just five points to be mathematically crowned Super League champions (they hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over Olympiacos). Thus, if the the Dikefalos tou Vora continue their winning form, they could claim the Greek Super League crown on matchday 28 in an away fixture to Larissa on the 14th of April.

PAOK could also secure the title in front of their fans this weekend when they host Lamia. A PAOK win, along with an Olympiacos defeat or draw to Panetolikos in Agrinio, will give PAOK the long awaited title. Olympiacos kick off at 19:00 while the current Super League leaders kick off just 30 minutes later

In addition, PAOK are aiming to become just the second club in the Greek top flight to finish a league season unbeaten, along with the Panathinaikos team of 1963/64. From 26 matches, PAOK have recorded 23 wins and three draws. The club’s four remaining matches include Lamia (home), Larissa (away), Levadiakos (home), and PAS Giannina (away).
