Chania put three past 10-man Platanias
Chania scored three goals in the second half to come away 3-0 winners over Cretan rivals, Platanias, in the opening match of round 14 in the Super League 2.

The weekend’s Cretan derby between Chania and Platanias in the Super League 2 was only a derby for the opening hour. A second-half blitz from Chania saw them run away 3-0 winners over their local rivals.
After a goalless first half, Tzioras gave Chania the lead on the hour mark when his well-placed header left no chance to the Platanias goalkeeper. Things took a turn for the worse for Platanias when they were left with 10-men after Korstram was sent off for a second bookable offense in the 68th minute.
With the man advantage, Chania took control of the game and Dimitriadis doubled Chania’s lead with a slick, chipped effort in the 78th minute before Panos added his name to the scoresheet with just one-minute remaining to give Chania the 3-0 victory.
The result moves Chania into second place with Apollon Smyrni on 24 points (Apollon Smyrni have a game in hand) while Platanias drop to 10th, with Doxa Drama, on just 17 points.
