Chuba Akpom close to PAOK move
Alongside their UEFA Champions League commitments, PAOK are close to landing the signature of young English striker Chuba Akpom.

Versatile 22-year old forward Chuba Akpom, who was born in London in a Nigerian family, has risen through the ranks at Arsenal, however he has only competed in four Premier League matches as a professional. In the last few seasons, he’s been sent out on loan to Brentford, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest, Hull City, Brighton and Sint-Truiden, attracting the interest of PAOK along the way.
On Monday afternoon, Akpom was spotted in Thessaloniki, where he underwent medical tests ahead of his PAOK transfer which is due to be announced in the near future. According to media reports, PAOK managed to secure the services of Akpom by paying Arsenal a mere one million euros, but the Londoners do retain a 30% resale rate. Akpom is expected to pen a three-year contract with the Dikefalos tou Vorra.
During the second half of the 2017/2018 campaign, Akpom represented Sint-Truiden in Belgium’s Jupiler League, scoring six goals in 16 championship matches. At international level, he has played in four games for the under 21 England national team, registering three markers. He will provide back-up for Serbian hitman Aleksandar Prijovic in Thessaloniki and is capable of playing on the wings.
