Donis scores first goal in Bundesliga with Stuttgart
Tasos Donis opened his goalscoring account with Stuttgart in the Bundesliga on Friday, helping his side to a 2-1 victory over Koln.
The Greek forward opened the scoring in the 38th minute after making a clever run behind the defense. Terodde set up Donis with a great through pass and the youngster did well to hold off the defender before putting the ball passed Koln’s goalkeeper. The goal was Donis’ first of the year after being troubled by injury in the early part of the season.
The visitors managed to equalize late in the game with Heintz (77), however Stuttgart took all three points thanks to Aloko’s goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
The win sent Stuttgart into 10th place in the German top flight with 10 points from 10 matches.
