Taking into account that the popular Aris and OFI were promoted to the Super League in 2018, there was a danger that attendances in the Football League would fall to an all-time low, but Doxa Drama, Iraklis and Panachaiki came to the rescue with solid numbers. In accordance with statistics published by gazzetta.gr, Doxa averaged the highest attendance in the first half of the 2018/2019 season, with 2,000 supporters attending every match.

In second place we have Iraklis, who after being promoted from the Gamma Ethniki had an average of 1,100 fans at their games. In the end, Iraklis could only finish in 11th spot, with the dream of returning to the Super League being put on hold for the next couple of years.

Panachaiki, who boast a strong following, averaged an attendance of 1,000 fans in Patras. In stark comparison, Apollon Larissa only had an average of 250 people at their games, while former Super League side Platanias were middle of the road with a figure of 450.

It must be taken into consideration that these figures are only from the first half of the 2018/2019 Football League season. In the second stage of the campaign, the numbers are assumed to have largely stayed the same, with a slight increase seen towards the end of the season as the decisive matches were held.
