Trikala were handed a shock loss at home to the hands of Diagoras as the islanders left Thessaly with a 0-1 victory. Goulas scored the game’s only goal in the 23rd minute. Despite the loss, it was Trikala who dominated the game and created numerous opportunities to score in either half. The hosts’ biggest chance of the match came in second-half stoppage time, but Tselios denied Trikala’s penalty to give Diagoras an important victory. Just moments before, Trikala thought they had scored the equalizer, but the linesman ruled that the full ball had not crossed the goal-line. Trikala remained in first place, just three points ahead of second-placed Veria while Diagoras moved into sixth, with Niki Volou, with 22 points.

Like Trikala, Ionikos recorded a surprising result over the weekend. The Nikaia side were held to a 1-1 draw at home to bottom of the table Thesprotos. The visitors took the lead when Dallas Costa opened the scoring in the 14th minute, and despite the hosts creating chances to equalize before the half-time, it was Thesprotos who took an advantage into the break. After the restart, both sides wasted opportunities before Ionikos increased the pressure and finally found the goal they were looking for in the 79th minute. Kritikos found space behind the Thesprotos defense and made no mistake from close range to equalize. Thesprotos posed more of a threat in the final minutes, but the match ended with the two teams sharing the spoils. Ionikos dropped to third place with 26 points, two behind now second-placed Veria, while Thesprotos continue to sit bottom of the table with 12 points along with Kalamata.

Veria were the big winners of matchday 15 as they took full advantage of Trikala’s and Ionikos’ slip-ups and defeated Olympiacos Volou 1-0. Kanoulas’ goal on the quarter-hour mark separated the sides at the final whistle. The result moves Veria into second place, three points behind leaders Trikala and two points ahead of third-placed Ionikos. Olympiacos Volou sit in fifth place with 23 points.

In other action, Ismael Blanco failed to register a goal in his debut with Egaleo as the Athenian side played to a goalless draw with Kavala. Aspropyrgos and Triglia shared the spoils in a thrilling four-goal draw while Niki Volou - Ierapetra and Ialysos and Kalamata each registered a point from their goalless draws.
