Fountas at the double for Rapid Wien

Taxiarchis Fountas is experiencing a breakout season for Rapid Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga with his excellent form continuing on Saturday evening. The Greek striker netted two goals for Rapid Wien in his side’s 0-3 thumping of Admira.
After Murg gave the visitors the lead in the second minute of play, Fountas doubled his Rapid Wien’s lead just five minutes later when he dribbled into the penalty area and with a crisp, left-footed finish found the back of the net. In the second half, Fountas struck again when he did well to tuck home from close range and secure his side’s 0-3 victory.
Fountas has scored 11 goals in 15 games for Rapid Wien and is the leading goal scorer among Grek players abroad. Behind Fountas is second-placed Vangelis Pavlidis of Willem II in the Dutch Eredivisie with nine goals.
Rapid Wied are third in the Austrian Bundesliga standings with 32 points well behind leaders Salzburg and LASK Linz.
