Galanopoulos extends AEK contract through to 2023
After reports indicated that Konstantinos Galanopoulos had rejected the offer of a new deal, AEK have now confirmed that the midfielder has extended his contract with the club until 2023.

This following statement was released by AEK:
“AEK FC announces the extension of Kostas Galanopoulos’ contract. The agreement with the Greek midfielder will run until the summer of 2023.”
The development arrives just a day after Galanopoulos had reportedly been ostracized from the team by AEK owner Dimitris Melissanidis after refusing to extend his contract. However, the 22-year-old has now penned his new deal with the Kitrinomavri, meaning that he will continue to be at Massimo Carrera’s disposal. His previous contract with AEK had been due to expire next summer.
Galanopoulos, considered as one of the most talented young midfielders in Greece, has progressed through the ranks at AEK. He made 15 appearances in the 2019/2020 season.
