Greece’s USA trip set to be canceled due to coronavirus outbreak
Greece’s trip to the United States later this month will likely be canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Greek national football team is scheduled to play to international friendlies later this month against Costa Rica (March 26) in New Jersey and Mexico in Texas (March 29). However, due to the coronavirus outbreak worldwide, the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) is expected to cancel the upcoming trip to the disappointment of many Greek-American fans.
The EPO will likely release an official statement late Tuesday night or Wednesday regarding the matter. Many countries in Europe have already taken drastic measures for matches to be played behind closed doors, and the same is expected to take place in the United States in the NBA and Major League Soccer (MLS).
A reminder, Olympiacos’ match on Thursday against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 will be played behind closed at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium due to the coronavirus outbreak.
