Tasos Bakasetas is continuing to enjoy a memorable campaign. In the Turkish Cup, the former AEK star scored a stunning goal for Alanyaspor against Galatasaray, helping his team gain a confident 2-0 advantage in the first leg of the quarter-finals. Marios Ogboe, currently on the books of Hamilton in Scotland, contributed with an assist in a defeat to Rangers at home.

MAIN MEN (Comprised of current/former national team players):

Sokratis Papastathopoulos (Arsenal/English Premier League): Arsenal did not play this week.

Jose Cholevas (Watford/English Premier League): Kept on the bench during a 1-1 draw at Brighton.

Panagiotis Retsos (Sheffield United/English Premier League): Watched his new team defeat Bournemouth 2-1 at home from the comfort of the substitutes’ bench.

Sebastian Vasiliadis (Paderborn/German Bundesliga): Played the full 90 minutes of a 1-1 draw at Schalke 04.

Konstantinos Stafylidis (Hoffenheim/German Bundesliga): Missed the 4-3 loss at Bayern Munich in the German Cup, before sitting on the bench during a 1-1 draw against Freiburg on the road.

Stefanos Kapino (Werder Bremen/German Bundesliga): Kept on the bench in a 3-2 German Cup triumph over Borussia Dortmund and the 2-0 defeat to Union Berlin.

Vasilis Lampropoulos (Bochum/German Bundesliga 2): Did not participate in the 1-0 victory against Wehen away from home.

Kostas Manolas (Napoli/Serie A): An unused substitute as Napoli suffered a 3-2 home loss to Lecce.

Orestis Karnezis (Napoli/Serie A): Stayed on the bench in the same game.

Panagiotis Tachtsidis (Lecce/Serie A): Missed the 3-2 victory at Napoli through injury.

Charalampos Lykogiannis (Cagliari/Serie A): Sat on the bench in a 1-0 defeat to Genoa.

Odisseas Vlachodimos (Benfica/Portuguese Primeira Liga): Conceded two goals in the 3-2 victory against Famalicao, and he was then beaten three times in the 3-2 defeat at FC Porto.

Andreas Samaris (Benfica/Portuguese Primeira Liga): Did not compete in the Portuguese Cup triumph over Famalicao, however he was used as a substitute in the 76th minute of the defeat against Porto on the road.

Dimitris Siovas (Leganes/La Liga): Substituted in the 75th minute of a 2-0 loss at Levante.

Leonardo Koutris (Mallorca/La Liga): Stayed on the bench in a 1-0 defeat to Espanyol.

Efthymis Koulouris (Toulouse/Ligue 1): Played the full 90 minutes of the 1-0 defeat against Strasbourg, however he stayed on the bench in a 1-0 loss to Marseille on the road.

Anastasios Donis (Reims/Ligue 1): Missed the 1-1 draw with Nice and kept on the bench during a comprehensive 3-0 loss to Strasbourg.

Konstantinos Mitroglou (PSV Eindhoven/Eredivisie): Left on the bench in a 3-0 win over Willem II.

Marios Vrousai (Willem II/Eredivisie): Emerged as a substitute in the 78th minute of the 3-0 defeat at PSV.

Vangelis Pavlidis (Willem II/Eredivisie): Played the entirety of the match against PSV in Eindhoven.

Tasos Bakasetas (Alanyaspor/Turkish Super Lig): Scored a superb goal in the 2-0 triumph over Galatasaray in the Turkish Cup and picked up a yellow card while playing 82 minutes, before he competed for 80 minutes of the 1-1 draw at Fenerbahce.

Manolis Siopis (Alanyaspor/Turkish Super Lig): Booked while playing 90 minutes against Galatasaray and the same thing happened as he competed for the full match with Fenerbahce.

Georgios Tzavellas (Alanyaspor/Turkish Super Lig): Took a yellow card while playing the full game with Galatasaray, but he sat on the bench against Fenerbahce in the domestic championship.

GERMANY

Konstantinos Mavropanos (Nuremberg/German Bundesliga 2): Played 90 minutes of the 1-0 victory at VfL Osnabruck.

Dimitris Diamantakos (St. Pauli/German Bundesliga 2): Not included in the team to face Holstein Kiel, as his club lost 2-1.

Ioannis Gelios (Holstein Kiel/German Bundesliga 2): Conceded the one goal during the victory against St. Pauli.

Stelios Kokovas (Bochum/German Bundesliga 2): The young defender missed a 1-0 victory at Wehen.

Panagiotis Vlachodimos (Grossaspach/3. Liga): Played the full 90 minutes of a 2-1 defeat at KFC Uerdingen.

NETHERLANDS

Konstantinos Lamprou (Vitesse/Eredivisie): Kept on the bench in the 1-0 loss to Groningen on the road.

Giorgos Strezos (Willem II/Eredivisie): Remained an unused substitute as Willem II were beaten 3-0 by PSV Eindhoven.

Lazaros Rota (Fortuna Sittard/Eredivisie): Used as a substitute in the 37th minute of a 2-0 defeat at Heracles.

Giannis Mystakidis (De Graafschap/Eerste Divisie): Used as a substitute in the 86th minute of the 3-2 defeat to Jong PSV.

James Efmorfidis (Almere City/Eerste Divisie): Did not feature in a 2-1 triumph at Dordrecht.

BELGIUM

Giorgos Marinos (Charleroi/Jupiler League): Watched Charleroi beat Zulte Waregem 4-0 from the comfort of the substitutes’ bench.

Nikos Kenourgios (Zulte Waregem/Jupiler League): Remained on the bench during the heavy defeat at Charleroi.

Dimitris Chatziisaias (Cercle Brugge/Jupiler League): Played the full game against Mechelen as Cercle Brugge triumphed 3-2 at home.

ITALY

Giorgos Kyriakopoulos (Sassuolo/Serie A): Received a yellow card while playing 90 minutes of the 2-1 victory at SPAL.

Dimitris Nikolaou (Empoli/Serie B): Sat on the bench with Empoli defeating Cittadella 2-1.

POLAND

Konstantinos Triantafyllopoulos (Pogon/Ekstraklasa): Contrived to score an own goal while playing 90 minutes of an important 3-2 win at Wisla Plock.

Michalis Manias (Pogon/Ekstraklasa): Replaced after 73 minutes of the same match in the Polish top tier.

PORTUGAL

Alexandros Voilis (Casa Pia/Liga Pro): Played 90 minutes of a 4-1 defeat against Estoril away from home.

TURKEY

Stelios Kitsiou (Ankaragucu/Turkish Super Lig): Helped Ankaragucu beat Yeni Malatyaspor 2-1 by playing the entire game.

Andreas Tatos (Altay/Turkish First League): Missed the 2-1 home victory against Boluspor.

SCOTLAND

Marios Ogboe (Hamilton/Scottish Premiership): Played 59 minutes of a 1-1 draw at St. Mirren and appeared as a substitute in the 36th minute of a 4-1 Scottish Cup home defeat against Rangers, providing an assist.

SPAIN 

Nikos Vergos (Hercules/Segunda B): Substituted during a 1-0 setback at Orihuela.

HUNGARY

Theodoros Berios (Kisvarda/OTP Bank Liga): Played 90 minutes of a 1-1 draw at Zalaegerszeg and the 5-3 victory against Kaposvar.

Stavros Tsoukalas (Kisvarda/OTP Bank Liga): Substituted in the 63rd minute of the match with Zalaegerszeg and appeared as a substitute in 54th minute of the game against Kaposvar at home.

ISRAEL

Andreas Gianniotis (Maccabi Tel Aviv/Israeli Premier League): Kept on the bench in the 1-1 draw with Hapoel Haifa.

SAUDI ARABIA

Savvas Gentsoglou (Al Adalkh/Saudi Professional League): Played 90 minutes of a 1-1 draw at Damac FC.

ROMANIA

Aris Soiledis (FCSB/Liga 1): Stayed on the pitch for the entirety of the 2-1 triumph at Voluntari and the 0-0 draw with FC Clinceni in Bucharest.

AZERBAIJAN

Vangelis Platellas (Neftchi Baku/Premier League): Stayed on the bench during a 0-0 draw at Qarabag.

Anastasios Papazoglou (Zira/Premier League): Missed a 2-1 loss at Sumqayit.
